Is cold email legal?

It depends on the jurisdiction. CAN-SPAM (US) is comparatively permissive and opt-out based. GDPR/ePrivacy (EU/UK) generally requires a stricter legitimate-interest or consent basis for unsolicited B2B email, with real enforcement history. We are still completing a full legal review before enabling sending into every region.

Where does your company/people data come from?

Our production dataset plan is licensed data, not scraped LinkedIn pages — directly scraping LinkedIn violates its terms of service and has been the subject of active industry litigation. The demo Company/People Search on this site runs on a small, seeded, fictional dataset, not live scraped data.

Can I ask you to delete my data?

GDPR gives EU data subjects a real right to erasure. We are building a genuine per-person delete/suppress capability that propagates through search indexes and campaign data, not just a soft-delete flag — email support@troogtm.com for a deletion request in the meantime.

Whose mailboxes send the emails — is my domain’s reputation at risk?

Accepted Answer

Sends go through our own managed mailbox pool, not your primary domain, specifically to isolate your sending reputation from ours.

What happens if your mailbox pool gets flagged as spam?

Accepted Answer

A reputation incident on the shared pool would affect every customer at once, not just one — this is why deliverability monitoring and conservative warm-up schedules are a stated first-class engineering priority, not an afterthought.

Question 6

Can I unsubscribe or suppress a contact from receiving further emails?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Suppress list (Setup → Suppress list) lets you block specific contacts or entire domains from ever being emailed again, checked before every send.
